With an estimated 70,000 to 100,000 individuals in the United States living with sickle cell anemia, the rarity of the condition often means that many medical facilities lack dedicated SCD expertise. Patients experiencing crises may not have immediate access to specialized care; the SCD Toolbox aims to address this gap by supporting clinicians in delivering evidence-based management.

The app is tailored primarily for medical teams and providers managing sickle cell patients, featuring:

<li Distinct guidelines segmented for pediatric patients (organized by age) and adults (based on medical history, examinations, laboratories, etc.)</li>
